The House at Pooh Corner
I just read this again. I think as an adult, we see the personality of each of the characters as part of us. Some traits i want to claim and some I am not proud of. There is so much bigger going on in these short stories than a child's view point.
The Wish Stealers
Really liked this book. Makes you think about the wishes in your life. It also makes me think about if I have ever been a wish stealer. Very well written and read it all in one night.
Jake Ransom and the Skull King's Shadow
This story intriques me. It reminds me of Peter Pan and the Star Catchers with out the Disney story behind it. I will read the next book in the series. It is ideal for any young boy that seeks adventure on your Christmas list.
Snail Mail No More
I liked this book. I love the way it is divided up by letters. I thought I would just read one more and the next thing I knew, I was almost done with the book. It kept reminding me of those notes we use to pass in the hall way in our junior high.

Quick easy read. The way it is written in letters makes you want ot read just one more.
The Bloodstone Chronicles: A Journey of Faith
This is one of those books that the whole family can enjoy. Read it for a bedtime story and everybody will eagerly want to go to bed just to hear it. Easy to use as a jump off for christian conversations with your kids.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder
Easy read and easy story. Cozy mystery that just lets you curl up with a blanket and hot chocolate!
Life of Pi
Friend of mine told me to read this. Okay, first few chapters have nothing to do with the story. I keep reading, trying to find the story. Then the wreck and a slow story starts. Did not like the flip side! Felt like I struggled through the book to be cheated at the end. I get the point but for me the time invested seemed tainted for me. I think, my friend wanted me to read it so we could both go REALLY? together!
Sign of the Crescent
I won this book and it was a descent read. The story is a bit predictable though with no real twist or turns.
The Elf of Union Square
Another book that should have been a great read aloud to kids but was not. I read it to myself and glad I did. It was not a good story and missed the excitement of a good kid's book.
Heroic Adventures of Hercules Amsterdam
Was hoping this would be a good read out loud book, but must say it was not. The characters are not very deep and not strong personality for reading out loud. Thought the story was lacking too. Sorry, just not good.

This is a good read to remember when childhood was part imagine and part hard times.

Wicked Lovely
Okay, i am still trying to decide if I like this series or not. I think the style of writing does not match the story. The story grabs my interest but feel like the writing needs edited down or something. Still reading them though.
